Tiki Drink Recipes: The Port Light recipe, a tiki cocktail.

Tiki Cocktail Recipes: How to make the Port Light cocktail drink.
This tropical cocktail uses bourbon whiskey and not rum as a base ingredient.
The passion fruit syrup blends nicely with the bourbon to make a great mixed drink to enjoy in the tiki bar or the tiki lounge.

Port Light recipe
Ingredients
1 ounce bourbon
1 ounce lemon juice
.5 ounce passion fruit syrup
.5 ounce grenadine
1 cup Crushed ice
Mixing Instructions:Mix all ingredients into a cocktail blender.  Blend for a few seconds. Now pour into a tall tiki mug. Garnish with mint and cherry.

New School Tiki Cocktail Recipe: The "Velo" Recipe using Gin.

How to make the Velo tiki cocktail drink.

This one come to us from tiki bar guru James Teitelbaum in Chicago.
This tiki cocktail uses Gin and not Rum and a few other exotic ingredients.

St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
Peychaud's bitters
The Velo Recipe:
Ingredients

• 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
• 1/2 oz. passion fruit syrup (Torani, Fee Brothers, Monin, Trader Vic's, etc.)
• 1 oz. St. Germain elderflower liqueur (French liqueur made from hand-picked elderflower blossoms.)
• 1 1/4 oz. Gin (Bombay Sapphire, Hendrick's Gin, Beefeater, Tanqueray, Gordon's London, etc.)
• 4 dashes Peychaud's bitters

Procedure:
Shake well in a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Strain into a chilled wine glass.
