A New Tiki Classic: Tahitian Tiki Moon Cocktail Recipe using rum as a base.





A New Tiki Recipe: How to make a Tahitian Tiki Moon cocktail drink.

Exotic fruits, warm moons and vanilla smells and flavors capture the spirit of Tahiti, and so does this drink. A wonderful new school tiki cocktail, with all the spirit of a classic tiki cocktail.
Tahitian Tiki Moon RECIPE 
INGREDIENTS:
• 2 oz Light Rum (Cruzan, Bacardi, etc.)
• 1 oz Coconut Rum (Malibu, Parrot Bay, etc.)
• 1 1/2 oz Vanilla Rum (Cruzan)
• 2 oz Orange Juice
• 1 oz Pineapple Juice
• 2-3 oz Cream (Heavy or Lite)
• 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Procedure: Stir all ingredient together.
Serve in a large brandy glass.

Tiki Cocktails: Tahitian Moon Recipe, A new school tiki drink.

Mixologist Greg Best named this cocktail—made with Tahitian vanilla bean—after a song by the alternative rock band Porno for Pyros.



INGREDIENTS

  1. •  1 1/2 oz brandy
  2. •  1/2 oz sherry
  3. •  2 dashes of Angostura bitters
  4. •  3 oz vanilla cream soda
  5. •  1 long lemon wrapped around 1 fresh vanilla bean
•   Ice

DIRECTIONS

  1. Fill a pint glass with ice. Add the brandy and sherry; stir well. Strain into an ice-filled collins glass and stir in the vanilla soda. Garnish with the twist-wrapped vanilla bean.
