New School Tiki Cocktails: Introducing Poptails, a frozen cocktail treat, this recipe is for a Mango Maui Mai Tai

How to make a frozen new school tiki concoction called the "Mango Maui Mai Tai", in the new catogory called "Poptails", a nice mix of cocktail and popsicle. A very fun cocktail.

A great way to cool off on a hot summer night at the tiki bar.

It got up to 104 today outside, so we tthought, what a perfect time to try the Mango Maui Mai Tai poptail.  Here is how to make one yourself.

Mango Maui Mai Tai Poptail Recipe:

• 2 mangoes peeled and cubed
• 1/4 lb pineapple peeled and cubed
• 1/2 cup limeade
• 2 oz white rum
   (Bacardi Superior White Rum, Appleton White Rum, Wray & Nephew Rum White, Appleton Estate Classic , Myer's Platinum White Rum, etc.)
• 2 oz gold rum (Goslings Bermuda Gold Rum, Bacardi Gold, etc.)
• 1 oz dark rum (Cruzan Estate, Whalers, Black Strap Rum, Pusser's, Myer's Dark Rum, etc.)

Instructions:
Mix the mango, pineapple and limeade in a cocktail blender.
Blend until everything is pureed nicely. 
Add the rums and blend a bit more.
Pour the mix into a popsicle mold.
Now, freeze and insert the popsicle sticks.


Poptails are a wonderful frozen cocktail treat for your tiki party of luau.
