OVERVIEW

The Hurricane drink was invented in New Orleans and is very popular with the tourists down in the Big Easy. A very sweet tasting rum drink. Made traditionally from passion fruit syrup, fresh lime juice and dark rum. The most loved cocktail during Mardi Gras.

HURRICANE ORIGINS
The drink was Invented at the famous Pat O'Brien's pub down in the French quarter in the 1940's.
Traditional Hurricane Recipe

Hurricane Ingredients
• 4 oz dark rum
• 1 oz lemon or lime juice
• 4 oz Passion fruit syrup
• Crushed ice
• Garnish with lime, orange, and a maraschino cherry

Dark Rum: Bacardi Black, Kraken Black, Captain Morgan Black
Passion Fruit Syrup: Torani Original Passion Fruit, Monin Passion Fruit

Mixing Instructions.
Shake in a cocktail shaker until cold and frosty.
Stain and serve in a hurricane glass or like in the during mardi gras down in the big easy, a plastic cup.
